I made smoothies yesterday with my roommate. They're very easy to make. I mixed blueberries, mango, vanilla Greek yogurt and ice. Blend away and voila. More pics and food porn to follow!

I miss the club. I saw many cool Djs here and had a nice roller skating date! I hope they don't turn it into a mall!

New Estelle Video

I first heard this song at Jeremy Scott's Fall 2010 fashion show in February where it had its public debut. Now the video is out and she did a special version for one of my favorite blogs, Joe. My. God. Hope you guys enjoy the video.

RIP Dixie Carter

She was an amazing actress. I loved her in Designing Women and recently as Orson's mother on Desperate Housewives.

Sushi Lunch at Hasaki NYC and beautiful spring weather

I really enjoy good quality sushi and yesterday I had a really satisfying lunch at Hasaki in the East Village. The lunch specials are very affordable. For about $18 you get sushi, miso soup, salad, tempura and a piece of grilled fish! It was also a great day to enjoy the beautiful spring weather in Union Square.

Also I happened upon some shirtless men jumping up and down in Union Square which ws very entertaining.

Night of a Thousand Gowns Video

We worked very hard on this video for the Imperial Court's Night of A Thousand Gowns gala. It was a great noight of fun and entertainment and you should check it out if you're in New York. The Comedian, Coco Peru cracked us up and we were thoroughly entertained by the women from RuPaul's Drag Race and singer Crystal Waters. I think everyone can remember her song, Homeless from the 90's. I'll post Waters' video after ours. Please let me know what you think and we at KitanoPictures are always looking for freelance work. Feel free to contact me at andytdickinson@mindspring.com .

Some pics of the cherry Blossoms in the tidal Basin near the Jefferson Memorial. The over 3000 trees were gifts from Japan in between WWI and WWII.

This is what I do Everyday NOT

Times for a Change

Today the NYtimes has endorsed Hillary for the democratic nomination. I'm going to put some quotes on here just in case you guys are too lazy to read the actual article.

-"By choosing Mrs. Clinton, we are not denying Mr. Obama’s appeal or his gifts. The idea of the first African-American nominee of a major party also is exhilarating, and so is the prospect of the first woman nominee. “Firstness” is not a reason to choose. The times that false choice has been raised, more often by Mrs. Clinton, have tarnished the campaign."

-"Mr. Obama has built an exciting campaign around the notion of change, but holds no monopoly on ideas that would repair the governing of America."

-"Mr. Obama may also be capable of tackling such issues, but we have not yet seen it. Voters have to judge candidates not just on the promise they hold, but also on the here and now...He shows voters that he understands how much they hunger for a break with the Bush years, for leadership and vision and true bipartisanship. We hunger for that, too. But we need more specifics to go with his amorphous promise of a new governing majority, a clearer sense of how he would govern."

-"We know that she is capable of both uniting and leading. We saw her going town by town through New York in 2000, including places where Clinton-bashing was a popular sport. She won over skeptical voters and then delivered on her promises and handily won re-election in 2006.
Mrs. Clinton must now do the same job with a broad range of America’s voters. She will have to let Americans see her power to listen and lead, but she won’t be able to do it town by town."
